Boann! *raps her staff on the ground three times* Silence!
Boann: All of your worthlessness is abundantly clear, but it is
Boann: the temple of Sgrios you stand in now. Our opinions and
Boann: viewpoints for us. If you find yourself easily offended
Boann: by non-standard thinking, then you will find
Boann: the entranceway open and free to
Boann: walk out of.
Boann: With that… let us pray.
Boann: *bows head*
Malphas: *lowers head*
Elphame: *bows her head*
Janaff: -Bows his head slowly-
Krios: *closes eyes and bows head*
Dementius: *lowers head*
Divvy: -Bows-
Slash: *looks up*
Boann: He who is called Filth; Abomination; Wretched Plague…
Boann: We are here before you, and call upon you to take our lives
Boann: into consideration. We are small and insignificant, but it
Boann: is with You that we give unto worship. Yours is eternal and
Boann: it shall be You who is the last standing when chaos
Boann: envelopes.
Boann: Ia Uggae.
Slash: Ia *looks back down*
Malphas: Ia
Elphame: Ia. *looks up*
Malphas: *lifts head*
Divvy: -raises head-
Krios: *ears twitch* So then…
Krios: I will be giving the sermon this eve.
Krios: Thank you Bo for the beautiful prayer. *smiles*
Krios: It has been some time, but I was doing a series of masses
Krios: that reflected on the darker side of each god.
Krios: Even the gods we consider “good” and of light cast their
Krios: own shadows.
Krios: Good and evil are perceptions.
Krios: So this time around we reflect on Ceannlaidir.
Krios: I find it interesting what others say Ceannlaidir
Krios: represents. Some just settle on war, others on some shallow
Krios: values worshippers of that god show way too often.
Krios: So let’s start with the positive so we have something to
Krios: base the negative on.
Krios: Positives…
Krios: Honor would be one.
Krios: Bravery would be another.
Krios: *slides a large blade from behind him*
Krios: Power would be another, but power can be seen as negative
Krios: as well.
Krios: Oh~
Krios: And Valor.
Krios: Let’s now focus on the darker side.
Krios: *tilts his sword from side to side feeling the weight*
Krios: I think the easiest way to invision it is to look at His
Krios: enemies.
Krios: There is Glioca and Luathas.
Krios: Mercy, love, compassion and divine knowledge vs the thirst
Krios: of victory and achievement.
Krios: Let’s say…
Krios: Janaff has something I want, and all means of civil
Krios: mediation has failed us.
Krios: *stares Janaff down*
Krios: Sadly, the only way to solve this is
Krios: you must die Janaff.
Krios: *cluthces his sword tighter*
Krios: In order to kill Janaff I will need to put aside any form of
Krios: feeling.
Krios: My mind will need to become a blank slate.
Krios: No room for morals. I can’t decide whether this is right or
Krios: wrong. The hesitation will just lead in my own death or
Krios: what not.
Krios: So with this blank slate something else sets in!
Krios: What can that be?
Krios: Janaff is no longer an Aisling, but a thing.
Krios: Just as if I were hunting some critter in Eastwood.
Krios: We then see madness and I become crazed, consumed by
Krios: bloodthirst and my own desires.
Krios: *brings the blade up to Janaff’s throat*
Krios: And wht are your thoughts on this…
Krios: Divvy?
Janaff: -Tilts his head up and away from the blade-
Krios: *chuckles*
Divvy: Umm…
Divvy: I’m not sure
Krios: *steps away, removing the blade from Janaff*
Krios: The point I’m getting at here is loosing ones civil…ness.
Krios: When you equip a sword or perhaps a blunt object, you are
Krios: embracing what Ceannlaidir represents.
Krios: You are a step closer to insanity and a step away from the
Krios: systematic ways that Gramailians have practiced.
Krios: And how do you pull yourself from becoming manic?
Krios: When you are in a war intelligent thought becomes very
Krios: difficult, and cumbersome.
Krios: Hmm…
Krios: So let’s take another tangent.
Krios: *puts the sword away*
Krios: Another shadow would be the ego.
Krios: It’s disapointing Trilink isn’t here. I think he woudl be a
Krios: good example. *cackles*
Krios: Bo?
Krios: Well. Ego.
Boann: I’m a good example?
Boann: I will stab you.
Krios: Err. Can you give a arrogant Trilink example?
Boann: Ah…
Boann: *wanders in*
Boann: You are all wrong. Because you are all wrong.
Boann: But I am right. And my words are important that you
Boann: need to hear them.
Boann: I know you aren’t talking to me.
Boann: But this isn’t my temple, but I am right.
Boann: You are just wrong because you are.
Boann: *walks off*
Slash: *wonders if she will add “shut up idiot”*
Krios: *laughs* Alright.
Elphame: *giggles under her breath*
Krios: Arrogance can be deadly.
Elphame: *whispers* cuz we’ll kill him..
Krios: And it sneaks up on its victims.
Elphame: *nods*
Krios: Symptoms of arrogrance. Being defensive, and some how
Krios: well…
Krios: Being defensive and closing your mind to everything that you
Krios: don’t agree with.
Krios: The last example Bo gave there. If you can’t win the
Krios: debate by cutting the other person off, storm off in an
Krios: overdramatic tantrum.
Krios: Trilink is a friend… so I mean him no harm. He was just a
Krios: good example.
Krios: Bo, Elph… would you mind sharing their thoughts outloud?
Elphame: *laughs*
Boann: *slaps her face*
Boann: *nods to Elpha to go first*
Krios: *should be more tactful*
Elphame: Meat is right. If we disagree with meat, we must be wrong,
Elphame: even if only by virtue of contrasting with their ‘rightnes
Boann: *grins*
Boann: My favorite was always… Meat thinks we are wrong.
Boann: We are wrong because his thought is based on an outside
Boann: view.
Boann: And this outside view is his thought.
Boann: And his thought is always correct.
Boann: And Since he is always correct, we are wrong.
Elphame: All male warriors like cream with toast.
Boann: It never ends. Just one big circle of nothingness.
Elphame: I know I am not one..
Elphame: But still. I know.
Krios: Ok then. *smiles*
Boann: Same thing, all Sgrians are evil and wrong, I know because I
Boann: am not one. And none of my close friends are one, and I
Boann: don’t talk to them about how they feel about anything,
Boann: because they are Sgrians. But still I know all their
Boann: motivations about everything.
Elphame: mhm.
Krios: So I’ll go over just one last shadow of Ceannlaidir.
Krios: This one is what many sterotype a warrior as.
Krios: We’ve already gone over the loss of emotion and thought.
Krios: There’s one sterotype. “Dumb warrior”
Krios: Although I must say some warriors can be quite witty.
Krios: Second sterotype is being an arrogant butt.
Janaff: -Grits his teeth and crosses his arms.-
Slash: *chuckles*
Malphas: *chuckles*
Krios: Third, which I think is the darkest is the need to consume.
Krios: This is kind of a combination of Sgrios and Fiosachd.
Krios: If we look back at history we see kings that are either
Krios: conquerring or planning to conquer.
Krios: If they aren’t, they become restless.
Krios: How often are you standing around in an area waiting for
Krios: something… like the poor priesty’s will to recharge, and
Krios: the basher starts walking off killing critters or making
Boann: *laughs to herself because they never wait for that*
Krios: them hostile? *sighs*
Krios: Many Kings have been no better. *chuckles*
Krios: In fact…
Krios: there is a piece describing how Ch*dul took advantage of
Krios: man by giving them weapons to destroy each other.
Krios: They did the dirty work for Him. *shakes head*
Krios: We are all fools…
Boann! Fools!
Krios: Alright.
Krios: Any last thoughts before we close this subject?
Krios: *nods* Very well.
Krios: So to summarize.
Krios: Despite these things I have spoken about being shadows, they
Krios: can be used for some good. Arrogance can help one achieve
Krios: success, but on the other hand it can also cause one to
Krios: fail in a social enviroment.
Krios: I say…
Krios: Have fun and let everything burn to the ground.
Krios: Whose up for pillaging Mileth?
Slash: Me
Krios: *smiles*
Dementius: *raises hand*
Malphas: aye
Krios: Now we will close this with a prayer by Bo.
Boann: *bows head*
Malphas: *lowers head*
Dementius: -bows head-
Divvy: *lowers head*
Elphame: *bows her head*
Krios: *bows head*
Janaff: -Lowers head once more-
Boann: Lord Sgrios, although it is easy to pick on the warriors
Boann: sometimes, we must not forget that it is the rogue who
Boann: can forget to blind, or the monk who forgets to dion,
Boann: the wizard who just can’t seem to keep his party members
Boann: fassed, or the priest who was leeched their whole life and
Boann: can’t use the spells with any tactics…
Boann: We are all, in one way or many, worthless and flawed. We
Boann: forget that life is finite and short.
Boann: Our worth is only based on this moment and instant, for
Boann: when it is gone, that worth is gone as well.
Boann: There is no guarentee for anything after this moment.
Boann: Let us treasure what we have now, for tomorrow, it may
Boann: all become nothing.
Boann: Ia Sgrios.
Elphame: Ia Uggae.
Boann: Aifreann is here.
Boann: Although I wasn’t for a moment.
Boann: ((”Mass is cast” for the lay person))
