This is the information Sylis mailed me for his event called the Red Moon. He completely forgot to take screen shots and journals until I reminded him. My internet went down until late in the event. (I’m sorry Sylis!) So I asked him to write a summary which can be found there also.

———————————- Event Summary ——————————

Summary of the “Murder Under the Red Moon” Event

“Every since the Red Moon appeared, strange events have occurred all throughout Temuair. Even though its power has weakened, it still affects the Aislings’ minds.”

This event was hosted by my self with Aloette acting as co-host. Assisting me as “Event Staff” were the following players: Danu, Belbe, MeggaMage, Chou, Goodlite, Reyakeely and Rubylight. The object of this event was to catch the killer who was preying on the citizens of Suomi.

Players would be chosen at random, by the staff, to play the killer. Before the killer would strike, each player would go to a different building/room in Suomi such as the Weapon Shop or the Special Skill Master. A member of the Event Staff would be in each room to be able to confirm alibi of other players as well as act as a witness if the murder took place in their area. The turnout was a lot better than I had hoped! I had planed for about 10 players, only to have more than 20 show up!

Unfortunately, the players weren’t being very cooperative… Not following directions, shouting and just being disrespectful throughout the entire length of the event… The beginning of the event was a disaster… I thought it was going to blow up right there… Fortunately, the troublesome players began to weed themselves out; leaving only the players who actually wished to play the game and role-play through the event. The players began questioning the Event staff for clues, taking about 20-30 minutes to do so.

After this, we all met in the Suomi theatre. The end of the event seemed to be the most successful, players had gathered their evidence and began making their own conclusions. It ended with no one finding the killer; MuseErato had gotten away with murder. She was given the choice of 1 item from the item shop, priced at 200 Kruna or less.

Although I felt as if the event was a complete disaster, I received many whispers from the participants and the staff telling me they enjoyed the event, LadyMafdet and MuseErato even told me they would like to help if I have another event. I guess it is true when they say, “You are your toughest critic.” I still wish to do events, though perhaps I will leave the murder events to someone else. I’ve got more ideas, but I will work on them before presenting them.
